  • Ford has taken off the fiesta 2011-2012 model today in India. Ruling out the initial observations Ford has priced the new Fiesta at a higher range than the Hyundai verna hc and honda city. Whilst having an impressive exterior and distinct interior specialties it fails miserably at the pricing. Ford says the comparatively less cost of the ownership in the long term would win over customers to theFiesta sedan.

The multi-piece headlamp, large trapezoidal air dam, aerodynamically designed (Ford calls it kinetic design) structural elements and lines towards back, nicely arranged pillars, gives it a contemporary lookout.

When it moves towards to interiors the fit and finish are of top quality. As you can see the front console of the new Fiesta are projected just like a cockpit – fresh and innovative concept it is. Eye catching LED display provides relevant information about the trip, fuel and other stats. The car furnishes enough leg, head and boot space required for a normal Indian family. The Ford fiesta re-defines the C-class segment with new conveniences such as cruise control, voice activated commands, etc. When coupled with Bluetooth technology the Voice controls (Titanium) in the Fiesta2011-2012 model let you make calls, adjust AC parameters and multimedia equipments inside the car.
    Ford Fiesta Engine and comforts:
As we mentioned earlier, Fiesta 2011 is available in petrol and Diesel options and in four variants; style, trend and Titanium Plus. The Petrol version has four cylinder, DOHC 16 valve, all aluminum, 1500cc engine which outputs 81(109)/kw(ps) at 6000 rpm. It is a five speed manual transmission with maximum torque of 140@4500 rpm. When it comes to Diesel engine, again there is a four cylinder 1500 cc burner but with an eight valve, SOHC system. The power counts to 67(90)/kw(PS) @3750 rpm and that at a very impressive torque ratio 204@ 2000-2750 rpm. The promised mileage is 17 kmpl and 23 kmpl for petrol and diesel. Security and comfort features include disc brakes( front only), ABS, EBD, Air bags (2), internally adjustable OVRM with indicators. Steering wheel counted controls, fog lamps, engine immobilizer, parking sensors, distance to empty fuel calculator, tilt and adjust electronically stabilized steering wheel, Automatic AC, central lock, etc. For detailed specifications you can refer to the official Ford India website.
